The test pressure for high-temperature pipe sections is determined using a formula that takes into account the allowable stresses of the pipe at both the test temperature and the design temperature. How are these stresses determined? Can they be found in tables, or are there other calculation formulas used?
Check the strength at the design temperature and at room temperature; the normal test pressure (hydrostatic, pneumatic, or combined test) * room temperature strength / design temperature strength.
