In the GB/T17213.1 standard, the flow coefficient CV, the flow coefficient KV, and the rated flow coefficient are defined. Among them, the rated flow coefficient refers to the value of the flow coefficient at the rated stroke. Is this coefficient obtained through calculation or through experimentation?
This is the flow capacity that the valve itself can achieve, and it can only be determined through testing. The calculation involves using relevant formulas to determine the required flow capacity under the operating conditions, and then selecting the valve based on its actual performance.
The rated flow coefficient refers to the flow capacity of the control valve when it is fully open; this value is determined through actual testing. Among these, Kv is commonly used in our region, while Cv is commonly used in the United States, and the testing requirements for each are different
