Fully welded ball valves are placed directly in water for cooling after welding the valve body and the main body together; if they are not placed in water, the gaskets at the joints are prone to damage due to excessive heat. Apart from using strong wind to cool the welded area (which is not very efficient), are there any other better cooling methods?
Typically, the non-metallic soft seals of such valves can be removed; they are taken off before welding, reinstalled after the welding process when the temperature has dropped. This seems to be common sense. You might as well ask the valve manufacturer how welding is carried out.
In current designs, the gasket is installed first and then welding is carried out; there is a specific order required for this process. Once a complete valve has been welded, it is no longer possible to install the gasket or the valve disc from the outside
Sure, think about it: welded valves are certainly not one-time-use devices; maintenance over time will definitely involve replacing parts such as gaskets. If they can’t be disassembled, the cost will be high

A fully welded ball valve is designed to be used once only; it cannot be repaired or replaced. Since, apart from the packing gland area which has two bolts, the entire valve is welded together, it cannot be disassembled. If a problem occurs, the entire valve must be replaced
The welding length of fully welded ball valves is calculated carefully, and the seals are capable of withstanding temperatures around 220 degrees. As long as welding is not carried out for extended periods, the seals will not be damaged. It is also possible to wrap the welding area with a cloth soaked in water, which can help to reduce the temperature as well
