Incoloy 800 stainless steel tubes are high-strength austenitic nickel-iron-chromium alloy stainless steel tubes with controlled levels of carbon, aluminum, titanium, silicon, and manganese in their solid solution state; Like austenitic stainless steels, it has an austenitic structure, and its workability during hot working and cooling is generally similar to that of austenitic steels. 2. It possesses excellent corrosion resistance and high-temperature tolerance; in aqueous corrosive environments, its corrosion resistance is comparable to that of austenitic stainless steel pipes. Its high nickel content enables it to resist stress corrosion cracking, while its high chromium content provides better resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. This alloy steel exhibits excellent resistance to corrosion by nitric and organic acids, but its corrosion resistance in sulfuric and hydrochloric acids is limited. It exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in oxidative and non-oxidative salts, except where pitting may occur in halides. It also exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in mixtures of water, air, steam, and carbon dioxide. 3. It exhibits excellent mechanical properties at low temperatures, room temperature, and at high temperatures of 600°C. It exhibits excellent antioxidant properties at high temperatures, as well as environmental performance in atmospheres of carbonization and oxidation, as well as in environments where oxidation and carbonization occur alternately. It also exhibits excellent resistance to hydrogen, nitriding, and sulfur-containing gases; in the environments where these gases are present, its performance is better under oxidizing conditions than under reducing conditions. 4. Welding: Similar to standard austenitic stainless steel pipes, TIG welding, MIG welding, and manual arc welding can be used. Application areas of Incoloy 800 stainless steel tubes: 1. Outer tubes for sheathed electric heaters, protective tubes for thermocouples, heat treatment furnaces, as well as materials used in high-temperature environments. 2. Heating element tube – excellent mechanical properties. 3. Acetic anhydride cracking – resistance to corrosion during processing. 4. For use in environments up to 600°C, it is supplied in a solution-annealed state. Applicable standards: ASME SB163/SB 407/SB 751/SB 775/SB 829/ASTM B163/B 407/B 751/B 775/B 829. Production process for Incoloy 800 stainless steel seamless tubes: cold drawing/cold rolling.
