For flanges conforming to standards such as HG, SH, GB, DIN, EN, etc., it is necessary to specify whether grooves are present or not; is this related to the gaskets used, such as non-metallic or metallic gaskets? Of course, octagonal and elliptical gaskets are exceptions. This post was last edited by hb999 on 2022-7-22 at 10:13. There is no water line in the new standard; upon close inspection of the sealing surface, there are shallow threads. The standard also includes a note: the sealing surface is a serrated concentric circle or spiral groove that forms naturally when it is machined with cutting tools.
The standard does not explicitly require water ripple lines, but based on the statement in the notes, we assume that water ripple lines are necessary. Depending on the actual usage conditions, having water ripple lines yields a better result than not having them.
The valve should have water ripple lines.
