Hello everyone. There are several types of evaporators, and the discharge valves used under thick-bottomed reactors, as well as the valves for self-circulating discharge and those with rotary motion, have not been performing well over time. Fluorocarbon-lined ball valves and 2205 soft-seal ball valves suffer from corrosion and erosion after half a year to a year of use; even titanium hard-seal ball valves have been employed, but they became stuck after one year of use. There are several types of evaporators (multi-effect, single-effect, MVR), and the materials involved are high-concentration solutions of sodium chloride, sodium sulfate, calcium chloride, and magnesium chloride. The discharge valves used in thick liquids, as well as the self-circulating discharge systems and rotary valves, have not performed very well over time. Fluorocarbon-lined ball valves and 2205 soft-seal ball valves have been used; after half a year to a year, corrosion and wear caused by particle erosion occurred. Even titanium hard-seal ball valves were tried, but those made of titanium became stuck after one year of use. Once every little over a month, soak in hydrochloric acid at a temperature of 50-70 degrees for 16 hours
Fluorinated-lined ball valves are corrosion-resistant but not wear-resistant or resistant to erosion. Titanium valves offer excellent overall performance, yet the presence of particles can cause sticking issues. The valve selection process needs to be optimized; appropriate materials and specific manufacturing processes should be chosen based on the operating conditions in order to achieve the best cost-performance ratio
