This batch of products will be used in a desalination project in Chile, marking the first time this product enters the South American market. High-frequency welding is a welding method that uses the resistive heat generated by high-frequency current flowing through the metal contact surfaces to join the metals; it is resistant to oxidation and yields welds of excellent quality. The pipeline for Chile’s seawater desalination project is 29 kilometers in length, and the steel pipes required are high-frequency welded pipes with a diameter of 508 millimeters and a wall thickness of 6.35 millimeters. The diameter and wall thickness of the steel pipes required for this order reach the limits of the production line. To this end, the company has focused on advancing thin-wall processing technologies, using simulation models to optimize process parameters and ensure the stability of steel tube formation. During actual production, strict quality control is applied to guarantee that all steel tubes meet the required standards before they leave the production line. The high-frequency welded steel pipes produced by the Petrochemical Machinery Steel Pipe Branch can meet the demands of the oil and petrochemical pipeline market, and have been exported to countries such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Myanmar, Ghana, Bangladesh, Cambodia, and Pakistan.
