For ordinary media, that is, in situations where metal wound gaskets are not used and instead non-metallic flat gaskets are employed, these two materials were chosen by the two respective companies. I would like to know what might be the reason for this
EPDM and PTFE are two different sealing materials. EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) has good water and weather resistance, a relatively low cost, and is suitable for use in mild media at low to moderate temperatures. PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) has excellent chemical stability, is resistant to high temperatures and corrosion, but it is relatively expensive. The reason why different units choose different materials may be based on factors such as the properties of the medium, temperature requirements, and cost considerations. If it is just a regular medium, considerations may be given to the safety, durability, and cost-effectiveness of each system. .
