If you know the principle of the self-operated regulating valve, I won’t go into details. There is a rubber pad inside the regulating valve cylinder to prevent the steam from penetrating the rubber pad. Therefore, a condensation tank is installed in the front and it is installed downwards, which saves a lot of trouble. As long as the condensation tank is not removed, the water inside will remain there. If it is installed upwards, it stops or breaks down, it is necessary to refill the isolation fluid to avoid unnecessary work. Install it downwards.
I think the installation is reasonable because in actual production applications, it is convenient to operate the switch and facilitate maintenance and repair. Because in many places the operators are female. It is not a problem of design, but for reasonable installation in production. The design institute will not care how you install it.
