This sleeve was manufactured using 3D printing technology and is installed on a 3-inch, 1500-pound multi-stage labyrinth-type sleeve control valve. This is the first time that Neway Valves has applied 3D printing technology to an actual order, and the valve has now been successfully delivered to the customer. The medium used in this device is syngas, and the pressure difference before and after the valve is high, resulting in severe erosion. The use of a labyrinth-type sleeve insert can significantly reduce the flow velocity of the medium, lower the noise generated as it passes through the valve, and extend its service life. If traditional manufacturing processes are used for this labyrinthine sleeve, it requires multiple steps such as electrical discharge machining, welding, heat treatment, and turning, with a processing cycle of at least 1 month. By using 3D printing technology, only three processing steps—3D printing, heat treatment, and turning—are required, reducing the production cycle to 15 days and significantly improving manufacturing efficiency. With its unique manufacturing approach, 3D printing technology has revolutionized the design and production methods of valve components. It is believed that Nuwei Valves will, through continuous research, innovation, and practical application, utilize 3D printing technology on more valve components in the future, thereby improving the efficiency of valve production and offering customers more efficient services.
