I think both water flushing and purging require a source of air or water. I’ve just gotten familiar with purging; currently I’m preparing documentation on water flushing. After doing some research, I found that a circulation system needs to be established as well. I’m not quite sure how to determine whether water flushing has been done properly – could someone please explain this to me in detail?
Water flushing and water circulation are different. Water flushing: Only the pipes are flushed to remove slag, electrode ends, debris, rust, and other impurities. During the flushing process, the instrumentation on the equipment and pipelines must be removed. Hydrotransport: Generally carried out after water washing. Water is used as a substitute for the process medium to establish a circulation throughout the entire process, with the aim of evaluating the calibration of the instrument control system.
