During the brine purification process, were flow meters used when adding alkali and soda ash? Previously, we used rotameter flow meters, but they couldn’t withstand corrosion and ended up short-circuiting. Currently, adjusting the flow rate by feel seems to work fine. I wonder what type of flow meters the manufacturers are using. Are they corrosion-resistant?
An electromagnetic flow meter will do; it offers high accuracy, isn’t very expensive, and requires little maintenance. Electromagnetic flowmeters are widely used in the ion-exchange membrane caustic soda industry, with very good results.
