Announcement on adjustments in the new energy/polysilicon/fluorine chemicals/silicones/soda ash sectors within the industry zone

At the request of the site administrator @Cleaner, an announcement regarding adjustments to the industry-related sections is being posted here: 1. The New Energy Technology section and the Polysilicon Discussion section have been merged to form the “New Energy/Polysilicon Technology” section. 15640090960 (UID: 909078) will serve as the moderator for this new section. 2. The Fluorine Chemistry Technology section and the Silicones Discussion section have been merged to form the “Silicones/Fluorine Chemistry Technology Discussion Section”. hywtg (UID: 13181) has been appointed as the moderator for this new section. Subsequently, it will be studied whether to merge it with the Polymer Materials Exchange Forum to establish a “Polymer/Fluorosilicone Organic Materials Exchange Forum”. 3. The Soda Ash Exchange Forum will be fully integrated into the Fertilizers Forum under the Coal Chemical Industry sector; the former moderator of the Soda Ash Forum will also be reassigned to a position in the new forum. On March 7, 2015, at the suggestion of the moderators of the Soda Ash section and after consultation with the site administrator, the Soda Ash section has been restored as of today and relocated to the Industry section.

Is there any connection between soda ash and fertilizers? Well, there’s some relation between phosphoric acid and fertilizers, but it’s not something worth pondering over; just consider them as being related from the start
New energy and polysilicon are still twins.

From a professional standpoint, there might still be some differences between polymers and silicon/fluorine-related topics. Since I’m not familiar with other fields, I won’t make any comments on that. If these sections are merged, it would indeed strengthen the management capabilities related to this area, facilitating unified management. As for user engagement after the merger, it’s natural that it will remain roughly the same as before. However, after the merger, it is recommended to categorize posts under “Help & Discussion,” etc., into three main groups: “Polymers,” “Silicon,” and “Fluorine.” The specific names for the silicon- and fluorine-related categories can be determined by the moderators of those respective sections; whether further细分 is necessary remains to be seen
