How much capital is needed to build a small soda ash plant? How long does it take to build a factory? How’s the market? Is it feasible? I’m seeking help from all fellow sailors!
It is planned to build a facility with a capacity of 1–1.2 million tons, incorporating coal gasification, ammonia synthesis, and vacuum salt production. If domestic technologies are used for gas production, ammonia synthesis, and vacuum salt production, the estimated cost would be around 4 billion yuan. The cost is expected to be higher if foreign technologies are employed. With proper project management and sufficient funding, it is estimated that it will take 3–4 years from project approval to commissioning； If it isn’t managed well and there is a shortage of funds, it could take 5 or 6 years. If the preliminary design is skipped and direct design of construction drawings is carried out, which can speed up construction, the time is estimated to be even shorter.
