We are primarily able to conduct online, real-time, continuous monitoring of aspects such as the concentration and density of liquids, conversion rates, ratio control, phase separation interfaces, reaction termination points, and available chlorine content during the production process, by using techniques such as soft sensing and data mining. Soft sensing technology, also known as soft instrument technology, originates from the inference estimator in inference control; it involves collecting certain easily measurable variables (also known as secondary variables or auxiliary variables) and constructing a mathematical model that uses these easily measurable variables as inputs to estimate the difficult-to-measure primary variables (also known as dominant variables). This provides support for process control, quality control, process management, and decision-making, and also lays the foundation for further achieving quality control and process optimization. This system is designed for online monitoring of the effective chlorine content in the chlor-alkali industry, that is, the reaction termination point of sodium hypochlorite. It is not a conventional concentration meter found on the market; it does not require sampling. It can be installed directly on the reaction vessel or intermediate tank, and the data collected is then fed into our smart instruments for modeling purposes. It is understood that most chlor-alkali plants currently use offline analysis or online oxidation-reduction bond titration for detection, but both methods have certain drawbacks and cannot effectively address the problems encountered in production. If online detection of the effective chlorine content can be achieved, it is possible to determine in a timely manner whether to continue adding alkali or to terminate the reaction, which is of great help for both production safety and energy savings. Our technology is highly forward-thinking in China, and it involves custom-made products for which the design needs to be tailored to specific operating conditions.
