Dear colleagues who manage chlor-alkali plants, how is the hydrogen generated by your plants handled? Should it be vented or used to produce hydrochloric acid after balancing the chlorine?

Hydrogen has numerous uses. The simplest one is to burn it as an energy source; there are now hydrogen-powered vehicles as well. It can also be used as a raw material for hydrogenation, and we transport it through pipelines within the facility to sell it to another company. The benefits are pretty good

However, selling it seems to be the more convenient option, as discarding it would be a waste.
