Radar level gauges do not work well in liquid ammonia spheres; I would like to know what level gauges others use and what their stability is like What’s the reason! For cases of severe gasification, it is recommended to use a magnetostrictive level gauge. The float is there, so the liquid level is at that level as well, making it quite accurate.

We use double flanges and magnetic level gauges; the double flange method gives decent results, but due to the large cross-section of the spherical tank, errors can occur, though these are still acceptable.
