The project for a soda ash plant with an annual production capacity of 800,000 tons is located in Tianjin, with an investment of 6,000. The initial annual production capacity of this new plant is 800,000 tons of soda ash as well as bicarbonates, as well as 800,000 tons of ammonium chloride and other related products. Tianjin Bohua Yongli Alkali Industry Co., Ltd.: a project with an annual production capacity of 1 million tons of polyvinyl chloride and 1 million tons of soda ash; in Inner Mongolia, code 683646 – also with an annual production capacity of 1 million tons of polyvinyl chloride and 1 million tons of soda ash. Inner Mongolia Boda Shidi Chemical Co., Ltd.: A project to produce 1 million tons of polyvinyl chloride and 1 million tons of soda ash per year in Inner Mongolia. Inner Mongolia Boda Shidi Chemical Co., Ltd.: An engineering transformation project for the comprehensive utilization of solid waste generated in the production of soda ash via the ammonia-alkali process. Guangdong 2381: This project converts 180,000 tons of dry-based white clay into an efficient desulfurization agent. Guangdong Southern Alkali Industry Co., Ltd. – Engineering Technology Transformation Project for the Comprehensive Utilization of Solid Waste Generated in the Production of Soda Ash via the Ammonia-Alkali Process, Guangdong 2381. This project converts 180,000 tons of dry-based white clay into an efficient desulfurization agent. Guangdong Southern Alkali Industry Co., Ltd.’s project for producing 300,000 tons of soda ash per year is located in Anhui, covering an area of 100 mu. The construction will take place in two phases: the first phase will have a production capacity of 300,000 tons per year, while the second phase will enable production of 600,000 tons per year. Sino Salt Anhui Hong Sifang Company: A complete relocation, along with a project to produce 1 million tons of soda ash per year. The facility in Anhui is capable of producing 1 million tons of soda ash, 1 million tons of ammonium chloride, 500,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, 300,000 tons of urea, 100,000 tons of compound fertilizers, 100,000 tons of hydrogen peroxide, and 200,000 tons of melamine. It also includes a thermal power plant for producing 1.2 million tons of salt by vacuum process. Anhui Quansheng Chemical Co., Ltd. and Henan Jinshan Chemical Co., Ltd.: Projects for clean production of soda ash. In Henan, these projects utilize **recommended clean production technologies to transform certain production processes, adjust manufacturing methods, and upgrade or replace production equipment, thereby achieving energy savings, reduced consumption, less pollution, and improved efficiency. The main renovation measures include: 1. Terminal water treatment project: It reduces wastewater discharge by 21,600 tons per year, and lowers the ammonia nitrogen concentration in the wastewater from 50 mg/l to below 25 mg/l, resulting in a reduction of 68,000 tons of ammonia nitrogen ； 2. Reverse osmosis desalination project: This project uses the reverse osmosis process to replace the traditional ion exchange process; it is simple to operate, causes no environmental pollution, reduces waste disposal costs, and ensures stable water quality of the produced water. It offers dual benefits in terms of economy and the environment ； 3. Evaporative cooler project: Counterflow evaporative condensers are used in place of tubular water heat exchangers; as a result, 355,000 tons of water are saved annually and 3.14 million kWh of electricity is conserved ； 4. Cleaning and renovation of the ammonia mother liquor carbonization tower: reduces the water volume used for cleaning the tower by 37,950 m3 per year, saves 5,500 tons of steam per year, and eliminates production losses resulting from tower boiling by 2,640 tons per year ； 5. High-efficiency steel plate carbonization tower project: The high-efficiency steel plate carbonization tower replaces the existing cast iron carbonization tower. It can increase the alkali content in the output alkaline solution by 3–5%, thereby improving the utilization rate of CO2 fed into the tower, reducing exhaust emissions and steam consumption in subsequent processing stages, and it also enhances the production capacity of each tower. Henan Jinshan Chemical Co., Ltd., the soda ash project in Qinghai – a joint venture to build a 1.1 million-ton soda ash production facility in Qinghai 74500; Sanyou Chemical. It is said that the soda ash market is already highly saturated. Moreover, the National Development and Reform Commission clearly stated in its product structure adjustment plan for 2011 that no new production capacity for soda ash and caustic soda is allowed; it seems that there will be another period of shortage for soda ash products
