The 25th National \"Safety Production Month\" in 2026: Everyone talks about safety, and everyone knows how to handle emergencies; identifying and addressing potential risks and hazards. -------------------------------------------------- Since May, in light of the sharp rise in international sulfur prices, Hunan Petrochemical has adjusted the production mode of its sulfur-based acid production facilities, switching to using purchased 98% sulfuric acid for the production of fuming sulfuric acid, thereby ensuring the safe and stable operation of the caprolactam production chain. 　　To counter the pressure of rising sulfur prices, Hunan Petrochemical has developed a process adjustment plan; through comprehensive safety risk assessments and detailed cost calculations, it has decided to adopt a production method in which partially imported dilute sulfuric acid is used to replace sulfur in the production of fuming sulfuric acid. To ensure the safe and efficient implementation of the new process, the company assigned professional technicians to monitor the operation of the equipment 24/7, to track production parameters in real time, and to address any issues that arose during production promptly. It also strictly enforced safety regulations, adhered to the standards for switching to the new production process, and paid close attention to every stage of the production process. To date, the sulfur-based acid production plant has been operating stably, resulting in a significant reduction in production costs for Hunan Petrochemical.
