My benzoyl chloride hydrolysis reaction requires FeCl3, but I want to remove it after the reaction is complete in order to reduce losses during subsequent distillation. Could you advise on materials that can effectively remove iron ions? The acidity level of the medium is currently between 50-100 ppm
Does it affect distillation? The amount of ferric trichloride added is very small, so there’s no need to remove it; it can be carried over to the next processing step.
