In the design of steel structures, when designing and calculating single-span beams, what is the unit for concentrated loads: KN or KN/㎡? Additionally, when choosing a simply supported beam, P in 1-1 represents the total pressure, while 1-6 shows nP; so is the concentrated load P or nP?
What program are you using? KN or KN/㎡ will both work; it’s just that the parameters for inputting the load differ.
