There is a renovation project in which the existing pump set is to be equipped with remote start/stop functionality. The cabinet room where the pumps are located is more than 500 meters away from the power distribution room. Since the control cables for start/stop operations run from the contactors in the power distribution room to the corresponding connectors in the cabinet room, does this distance require consideration of voltage drop in the control cables? The voltage of the control circuit is 220V. Could there be a voltage drop due to excessive distance, resulting in the contactor coil failing to engage? I would appreciate it if experts could help answer this question. Thank you.
