Principle of large-scale deionized water production equipment: Deionized water production equipment uses the ion exchange method to remove impurities in water that are in ionic form. This process is carried out through ion exchange resins. Ion exchange resins possess different active exchange groups, and can be classified as cationic, anionic, strong, or weak. Resins with acidic functional groups, which can exchange with cations, are called cation exchange resins; those with basic functional groups, which can exchange with anions, are called anion exchange resins. By taking advantage of the characteristics of different exchange genes in resins, deep desalination can be carried out to produce high-purity water. Advantages of large-scale deionized water production equipment: 1. The quality of the water produced remains stable. 2. It is capable of continuously producing ultra-pure water that meets the user’s requirements. 3. Modular production, with full automatic PLC control available. 4. No acid-base regeneration is required, and there is no wastewater discharge. It reduces labor intensity, saves acids, alkalis, and large amounts of cleaning water, and decreases environmental pollution. 5. It will not stop operating due to regeneration. 6. The single system operates continuously, with no need for a backup system.
I wonder, since no acid or alkali chemicals are needed, what kind of chemicals should be used for regeneration?
No acid or alkali chemicals needed? It should be a membrane process
Full-membrane process, electrodesalination, no regeneration required
