I. Analysis of the reasons for low resistivity of the produced water When the resistivity of the produced water decreases, we can analyze the situation from the following three aspects: 1. Analysis based on operational conditions: Examine the average current flowing between various modules as well as the actual currents flowing between them, monitor changes in pressure levels in the concentrated and dilute water chambers, and review the operational data from recent periods to identify the causes. 2. Analysis of the measuring instruments: Check the measuring instruments to determine whether inaccurate data is caused by issues with these instruments. 3. Analyze inlet water parameters Analyze from the perspective of water quality at the inlet; test the quality of the raw water to determine whether there are any changes in the inlet water parameters. II. Reasons for the conductivity of the produced water being higher than that of the feed water When this situation occurs, the EDI system should be stopped immediately, and the cause should be investigated to determine whether it is due to one of the following factors: 1. Whether there is a reverse connection of the module electrodes. 2. Whether the concentrated water chamber is connected to the fresh water chamber in the reverse direction. 3. Whether the pressure in the concentrated water chamber is higher than that in the fresh water chamber. III. Reasons why water quality decreases despite an increase in current: Check whether there are membrane failures or damages in the ultrapure water equipment
