On August 14, the reabsorption tower for the technical renovation project of Jinling Petrochemical’s coal chemical purification unit was hoisted into place. With this, the task of lifting large-scale components for the project has been successfully completed, and the project has entered its peak phase for the installation of process pipelines. Due to the limited space at the construction site, the project team organized everything carefully and coordinated with various parties. As soon as the equipment arrived in segments, work began on preparing it for use, including welding the equipment together, conducting pressure tests, installing protective welding components on the tower, welding and testing the pipelines attached to the tower, as well as carrying out anti-corrosion measures. These actions created favorable conditions for the subsequent insulation work on the absorption tower. This insulation construction for the tower is the first time in recent years that Jinling Petrochemical has carried out such insulation work on a large-scale tower on the ground. The project team discussed the insulation construction plan and the implementation plan for the pilot project on multiple occasions, listened to the suggestions and opinions from various parties, drew schematic diagrams of the insulation work, and conducted specialized technical and quality briefings. QR code technology is also utilized to enhance on-site supervision and control, ensuring that construction safety and quality remain under control. After days and nights of hard work, a total of 1,400 inches of pipeline prefabrication and installation for the tower was completed, 29 floors were equipped with protective measures, and 40 tons of steel ladder platforms were installed. On August 12, the project was awarded the title of twin model projects by Jinling Petrochemical for both the “Tower Equipment Covering” and the “Tower Equipment Insulation Project”.
