On September 16, the PMC management team for chemical engineering at **Energy Group successfully organized a pipeline welding competition for the Baotou coal-to-olefins upgrading demonstration project. This initiative adopts a \"scenario-based competition + standardized output\" model, focusing on key business scenarios such as coal-to-oil and coal-to-olefins, to ensure that welding quality control standards are applied throughout the entire process. Using commonly used stainless steel and carbon steel pipes as the evaluation subjects, a multi-dimensional comprehensive scoring system is established to assess the skills of the participants from various aspects such as welding procedure specifications, the appearance quality of welds, and the pass rate of non-destructive testing. This approach aims to establish a solid foundation for safe production in the transportation of chemical products from the very beginning. Chemical engineering always places safe and high-quality production at the core, and by using competitions to promote learning and the adoption of standards, it injects new momentum into fostering the diversified and coordinated development of the coal chemical industry as well as accelerating the advancement of key technologies.
