[Haichuan Overseas Engineering] Key progress achieved in the construction of the spherical tank area for the VCM project in Hungary

A key breakthrough has been achieved in the construction of the spherical tank area for the VCM project in Hungary. Recently, significant progress was made in the first phase of construction of this project, carried out by the Ningbo branch of China National Chemical Corporation’s Sixth Construction Company. The welding and heat treatment of three spherical tanks were completed successfully in that area, and modular lifting of steel structure stairwells was carried out for the first time there, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent installation of the main equipment. To date, the project team has completed the welding and heat treatment of the 3 spherical tanks in the tank farm, as well as the lifting of the two modular steel structure stairwells; the first-pass welding success rate is 99.9%. Next, the project management team will draw on previous experience, adhere to high standards and strict requirements, integrate China’s construction efficiency and expertise with EU regulations, and make every effort to advance the construction of the VCM project in Hungary in order to create a high-quality project that will help the company expand its presence in the European market.

Project Progress: The signing and commencement ceremony was successfully held at the Borsod Chemicals Industrial Park in Hungary.
Project Overview: Wanhua Chemicals is committed to transforming Borsod Chemicals into the most competitive and environmentally friendly polyurethane manufacturing facility in Europe. The new VCM project is key to achieving this goal, and it represents another important milestone in Wanhua Chemicals’ overseas expansion. & This project is Chengda Company’s first EPC turnkey project in the European Union, and it represents the latest effort by Chengda Company to implement the **Belt and Road Initiative**.
