Document No. An Jian Zong Guan San [2014] 68 states that newly built storage tanks for flammable liquids must be designed in accordance with the requirement of \"one dike per tank\"; those existing storage tanks for flammable liquids that do not meet this requirement should be included in programs for improvement. Are natural gas stations doing this now? If that were really done, the area of the fire dike would increase exponentially, wouldn’t it?
This requirement came into effect only after the Yangzi sewage tank accident. There are likely many old devices that still haven’t been modified, and the main problem is that it’s impossible to do so.
The original requirement states that \"flame barriers or fire separation dikes should be installed for combustible liquid storage tanks, one for each tank.\" Even in those that are currently in use, dikes are still in place when the tanks are arranged together, thus meeting the requirements.
