I would like to ask fellow sailors: what are the disadvantages of the CDAlky process in actual production? Also, without a mixing device, how is good mixing of the acid and hydrocarbon achieved? Filler? Is its operation stable over the long term?
One year is no problem; alkylation doesn’t last for several years around me. .
Why can’t it run for several years straight?

Thirdly, it can operate continuously for a year, before stopping for one and a half or two years. Who can guarantee that your equipment will not have any problems after more than a year of use? Yes, from what I know, alkylation units in the area generally shut down in summer. There is another reason that was omitted above: summer is a low-season for gasoline consumption, as well as a low-season for profits. If it doesn’t generate any profit or only a small amount, it’s better to stop it and carry out repairs promptly.
