How to handle naphtha

The plant produces naphtha as a by-product, in small quantities (200–300 tons per year). Given the complexity involved in obtaining a license for the safe handling of hazardous chemicals, it is planned to utilize this naphtha somehow, such as burning it as fuel to generate steam. However, several burner manufacturers stated that naphtha cannot be used as fuel, while others said it can only be used after being vaporized. I was wondering if anyone here has experience in this area or can provide some resources. If there are other ways to avoid dealing with hazardous chemicals, that would be even better. Such a small amount in a year – just sell it if you can. Wouldn’t it be a shame to burn it?

A production volume of 200-300KG per year is indeed quite low; even when converted into PPM based on other components or materials, the amount is not significant. If it really needs to be treated, it is recommended to dispose of it as a material that stabilizes the properties of light hydrocarbons and does not constitute a hazardous chemical.
