New hire in the acrylonitrile department – what should I prepare? ?

I started working in the acrylonitrile department of a chemical plant right after graduating, and I don’t know much about this industry. My knowledge of chemical engineering principles was only basic during college; should I buy a book on these principles now? Are there any other things to keep in mind when working in the chemical industry? ? I would appreciate the guidance from all my seniors.
Safety is of the utmost importance; acrylonitrile is highly toxic. Be sure to read the operating procedures for the relevant processing units carefully
