On August 10, 2021, Sichuan Ecology and Environmental Protection Industry Group Co., Ltd. was inaugurated in Chengdu. The restructured ecological and environmental protection group, as a secondary holding enterprise of Sichuan Development, is managed by Sichuan Development in accordance with the equity structure. To date, the Ecological and Environmental Protection Group’s total assets exceed 30 billion yuan. By the end of the 14th Five-Year Plan period, it is aimed to have a combined asset scale of over 60 billion yuan, operating revenue exceeding 15 billion yuan, and total profits exceeding 1.5 billion yuan; meanwhile, the key assets are to be listed on stock exchanges, enabling the company to rank among the top 10 in the industry in terms of overall strength. According to Qichacha, Sichuan Ecology and Environmental Protection Industry Group was formed through the integration and restructuring of the former Sichuan Water Investment Group Co., Ltd. and Bochuan Water Investment Co., Ltd. It is primarily engaged in the investment, management, and operation of industries related to urban and rural water supply, sewage treatment, and sludge treatment. The company’s initial registered capital was 800 million yuan. It oversees 4 specialized subsidiaries: Beijing Qingxin Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., Sichuan Development Guorun Water Services Investment Co., Ltd., Sichuan Development Zhongheng Energy Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., and Sichuan Guorun Hejie Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., thereby establishing four core business areas: industrial energy conservation and flue gas treatment, water services operation, solid waste disposal, and environmental protection technology services.
