First delivery under plant inventory agreement for Yulin Petrochemical’s polyethylene

Recently, CNPC Northwest Chemical Sales Company, Lanzhou Petrochemical, and Northeast CNPC International Co., Ltd. worked together to deliver 330 tons of 7042 linear low-density polyethylene of the \"Kunlun\" brand, produced by Lanzhou Petrochemical’s Yulin plant, to customers through an agreement-based delivery method at the Yulin Petrochemical plant’s warehouse. As a key region for polyethylene production, the Northwest region is home to a large number of enterprises engaged in agricultural film manufacturing and plastic product processing. Since the beginning of this year, CNPC Northwest Chemical Sales Company, Lanzhou Petrochemical, and Northeast CNPC International Co., Ltd. have worked together to urge the Dalian Commodity Exchange to include Shaanxi in the delivery areas for polyethylene futures, and to register the polyolefin warehouse of Yulin Petrochemical as a futures agreement delivery warehouse. This first on-site agreement delivery not only enables sales through futures delivery but also significantly reduces overall costs related to logistics and storage, helping companies improve their profitability through hedging. “In the future, as the delivery mechanisms continue to be improved, Shaanxi is expected to become a key hub for spot and futures trading of polyethylene in the northwest region. The company will keep upgrading and optimizing its marketing strategies, making new contributions to improving the quality and efficiency of petrochemical products in Yulin, and injecting new momentum into the regional commodity market. ”A relevant official from the Northwest Chemical Sales Company said.
