Dongchen Ruisen establishes the largest domestic production and R&D base for long-carbon-chain nylon

Recently, the Shandong Energy Zibo Mining Xinsheng Industrial Dongchen Ruisen Company—the leading enterprise in the special nylon industrial chain within Shandong Province’s new materials industry—received approval from Shandong Energy Group for its follow-up construction project. The construction work has now officially commenced. Wang Chaojin, Chairman and General Manager of Dongchen Ruisen Company, told reporters that the ongoing construction project is scheduled to be completed by the end of next year. It will feature one domestically pioneering continuous polymerization production line for long-chain nylon, four intelligent and automated batch polymerization production lines for long-chain nylon, and eight intelligent and automated modification production lines. Upon completion, the company’s total annual production capacity for long-chain nylon will reach 30,000 tons, making it the largest domestic base for the production and research of long-chain nylon. Dongchen Ruisen Company was established in 2001, originating from the Bucun Coal Mine of Shandong Energy Zikang Group, which was on the verge of bankruptcy at that time. In June 2016, in response to the calls for **supply-side structural reform and capacity reduction, Bucun Coal Mine was shut down and transformed into Xinsheng Industrial Company. Faced with the predicament of severe losses and unsustainable operations, Dongchen Ruisen Company, leveraging the advantages of three provincial-level enterprise technology centers and two provincial-level engineering laboratories under Xinsheng Industrial Company, places technological innovation at the forefront of its development. It continues to intensify efforts in developing key core technologies, striving to create products with strong core competitiveness. “We invest over 10 million yuan each year in innovation and R&D, which accounts for more than 4% of our sales revenue. ”Dai Wangjin explained that they go all out in terms of research and development, product quality improvement, and product updates; they establish laboratories for researchers, recruit top talent, and strive to become an experimental base for Shandong University. Through more than 20 years of continuous research and innovation, Dongchen Ruisen has developed over 10 products across 4 categories, including long-chain nylon, high-temperature nylon, transparent nylon, and long-chain nylon elastomers. In particular, the independently developed “long-chain nylon” products have obtained industry certification from the U.S. FDA as well as Madrid trademark registration, granting them the eligibility for food-grade use in exported products. “The long-chain nylons 1212 and 1012 fill a gap in the domestic market, completely resolving the issue of shortages in key materials for the automotive industry in China; they are currently the only products in the country that can fully replace imported PA11 and PA12. ”Wang Chaodao said that the products are widely used in industries such as automotive, aerospace and defense, machinery, wires and cables, petroleum, 3D printing, and consumer goods. Its customers are located in over 20 provinces and cities across China, as well as in more than 20 countries and regions worldwide. It is understood that in 2018, the Dongchen Ruisen long-chain high-temperature nylon industry chain technology improvement project received over 20 million yuan in special R&D funding from the **Ministry of Industry and Information Technology ； In June 2019, the Dongchen Ruisen Industrial Park project was successfully included in the list of preferred projects in Shandong Province’s database of major projects for the transformation of old and new economic drivers ； In May this year, Dongchen Ruisen was designated as the leading enterprise in the special nylon industrial chain within Shandong Province’s new materials industry.
