According to data from the Tianyancha app, Sinopec (600028) has newly obtained an invention patent grant. The title of the patent is “A Method and Device for the Continuous Coupling Preparation of Lactide”, with the patent application number CN202111279118.9; the grant date is September 5, 2025. Patent abstract: The present invention relates to a method for the continuous coupling preparation of lactide, which includes (1) mixing lactide oligomers with a depolymerization catalyst and preheating them, followed by continuous transfer to a depolymerization reactor for reaction; after the reaction, the light components enter from the bottom of the distillation system ； (2) After being processed by the distillation system, the bottom liquid phase component is returned to the depolymerization reactor, while the gaseous lactide is condensed to yield lactide product. This invention couples a depolymerization reactor with a distillation system to carry out a continuous reaction, reducing the likelihood of racemization of lactide and coking of the substrate, thereby improving the product quality and yield throughout the synthesis process. Since the beginning of this year, Sinopec has obtained 2,353 new patent approvals, a decrease of 39.91% compared to the same period last year. Based on the company’s financial figures for the first half of 2025, the company invested 6.186 billion yuan in research and development during this period, representing a 3.05% increase compared to the previous year.
