Chevron’s offshore platform in Angola comes online

　　According to Sinochem News, Chevron recently announced that its Nendoa platform in Angolan waters was successfully put into operation in December 2025, producing its first barrel of crude oil. It took just over two years from the start of construction to the beginning of oil production, marking a significant operational breakthrough for the company in its long-standing key oil-producing regions in Africa. 　　The Nandora platform is located in Block 0 of Angola. The project adopts an economically efficient \"backfeed\" development approach, in which the new platform is not equipped with separate treatment facilities, but is instead connected directly to the existing Mafumela integrated treatment facility via undersea pipelines. This bundled development approach, which makes use of existing infrastructure, avoids duplicate investments and represents a typical strategy for the stone industry to uphold capital discipline and pursue incremental value in mature basins.
