Recently, the world’s first set of continuous hydrogenation synthesis equipment on a scale of 10,000 tons for producing special amine materials, developed jointly by Xiamen Jiahydro Technology Co., Ltd. and its downstream customers, was successfully installed and is now operating stably. The commissioning of this milestone project marks the transition of China’s continuous hydrogenation catalysis technology from the laboratory stage to large-scale industrial application. It provides strong impetus for the domestic substitution of high-end chemical materials, and also demonstrates the significant achievements of the Kiang Cheng Innovation Laboratory in translating the results of key research and development projects into practical applications. It is reported that the continuous hydrogenation catalysis technology is the result of the transformation of key achievements from a **key research and development program. Its main advantage lies in the ability to produce materials of higher purity at lower catalyst costs, making it easier to achieve polymer-grade and electronic-grade quality levels and thus helping to overcome the challenges associated with industrial upgrading. As a high-tech enterprise of ** level incubated by the Kaigeng Innovation Laboratory, Jiaxiang Technology has addressed the industry challenges associated with the synthesis of special amine materials thanks to this internationally leading technology it developed independently. This complete set of equipment reduces catalyst costs by 80%, breaks the foreign technological monopoly, and enables full import substitution for special amine materials. High-purity specialty amines, as key monomers for new materials such as specialty engineering resins, high-performance fibers, and specialty rubbers, have previously relied on imports for a long time, resulting in high prices. The commissioning of this 10,000-tonne-scale facility will significantly reduce production costs in related industries and enhance the international competitiveness of China’s fine chemical industry. Leveraging its core technological advantages, Jiaxiang Technology has developed a diversified portfolio of industrial applications. In the field of new materials, its catalytic technologies have helped overcome the challenges associated with the synthesis of ultra-high-purity monomers for high-end materials such as para-aramid, polyimide, and specialty nylons, thereby supporting the upgrading of China’s new materials industry. Currently, China’s production capacity for para-aramid is expanding rapidly, and its global share is set to rise to 41% by 2030. The technological advancements achieved by Jiaxiu Technology are providing the material foundation necessary for the growth of this industry. JiaH2 Technology is a high-tech enterprise incubated by Xiamen University’s Tan Kah Kee Innovation Laboratory. Leveraging its internationally leading hydrogen catalysis technology, it has embarked on a new journey toward industrialization, filling the technical gaps in hydrogen production and utilization in Haicang District and injecting strong momentum into the region’s hydrogen energy industry chain. Founded in November 2022, JiaH2 Technology relies on a high-level talent team from Xiamen University and the Jiageng Innovation Laboratory to have established a comprehensive innovation capability spanning \"basic research, technical development, and industrial application\" in the fields of surface chemistry and green catalysis, building on cutting-edge achievements in these areas.
