On January 12, the ethylene plant of Jilin Petrochemical successfully completed the first full-load performance calibration for two newly built units: one for the hydrogenation of 1 million tons per year of pyrolysis gasoline, and the other for aromatic extraction at a capacity of 450,000 tons per year. This calibration took 72+24 hours, providing reliable data support for fully unlocking the device’s potential and improving its operational efficiency. Since their commissioning, these two sets of equipment have been operating smoothly for over 5 months in a row, with all performance indicators exceeding the design values. This calibration was carried out in strict accordance with the relevant procedures, focusing on the three core units of reaction, fractionation, and desulfurization. For the pyrolysis gasoline hydrogenation unit, two load conditions of 100% and 110% were used; whereas for the aromatic extraction unit, a processing capacity of 58 tons per hour served as the basis, allowing for a comprehensive assessment of the unit’s operational stability, energy consumption, material balance, and product quality. The results showed that both sets of equipment passed the full-load tests; they operated stably, the product performance met the required standards, the systems were reliable and stable, and their material consumption indicators reached an advanced level in China. After the installation was put into operation, the factory established a technical task force that held production optimization meetings four times a week. It introduced a mechanism of \"daily inspections, daily reports, and weekly evaluations\" to systematically work on improving yield, ensuring stable operations, and reducing energy consumption. During the calibration process, field operators conduct more frequent inspections and maintenance, while control room operators make precise adjustments. Professional technicians monitor parameters and collect data throughout the process to ensure that the calibration results are genuine and accurate. “Through this calibration, we identified the optimal load range for the device and understood the operating patterns of the key equipment. ”Gao Dapeng, deputy director of the second ethylene production unit at the ethylene plant, said, “Next, we will optimize the manufacturing process based on the calibration data, implement refined management practices, continue to explore opportunities for reducing consumption, and turn technical achievements into improved production efficiency, all in order to ensure that the facility operates safely, stably, continuously, at full capacity, and with high quality.” ”(Zhao Shuling, Wang Zhibing)
