Recently, the online optimization system for Hainan Refining and Chemical’s atmospheric and vacuum distillation units was successfully put into operation. After multiple stages of debugging and verification through field application, the system is now operating stably. Developed through a collaboration between Hainan Refining & Chemical Industry and the China Academy of Petroleum Sciences, this system employs AI-driven process optimization algorithms that integrate process mechanism models, digital twin models, and efficient optimization techniques to fully exploit the operational potential of atmospheric and vacuum distillation units, thereby helping to maximize economic benefits. Currently, the convergence rate of the system model’s calculations is over 95%, enabling it to consistently and stably generate real-time operation optimization parameters, thus providing critical technical support for the efficient operation of the device. Hainan Refining & Chemicals aligns precisely with the production requirements of the facilities, carries out multiple rounds of targeted adjustments based on the actual operating conditions of those facilities, identifies the process characteristics in different production scenarios, and relies on the accurate data generated by the system’s real-time calculations to formulate and effectively implement operation optimization plans. This ensures a high degree of compatibility between the system and the actual production environment, thereby facilitating the development and practical application of online optimization systems.
