For mixed-flow pumps, the axial force of large flow rate and small head can be solved with little reliance on bearings! There is no axial flow pump!
The working principle is different: the axial flow pump relies on the axial thrust generated by the rotation of the impeller to pump the medium; The rotation of the mixed flow pump impeller generates both inertial centrifugal force and axial thrust to pump the medium. I don’t know if it has anything to do with the working principle.

The flow channel is wide and the work time is short. The medium passing through the flow channel is always in a turbulent flow state from entry to exit. The area difference between the front and rear cover plates is small and the pressure is low. Also, according to the principle of mutual conversion between speed and pressure, the speed of liquid in the flow channel is high, so the pressure is small! That’s a bit confusing!
