1: Remove all connection pipes from the top cover of the gearbox. 2: Remove the screws and positioning pins on the partition surface of the gearbox. 3: Remove the temperature sensor, mark relevant locations, and lift the gearbox using jacks. 4: Lift out the gearbox and remove the shaft seal. The images below show the internal structure of the gearbox as well as the removed shaft seal

Which one is the shaft seal? I can’t see it; it should be the oil seal for the bearing, right?

Don’t your tanks have exhaust fans? During operation, the lubricating oil temperature rises, which generates some fumes. If these fumes are not removed in time, they can block the return channels, causing the parts of the gearbox that are in contact with the atmosphere to emit fumes. Just install a smoke exhaust fan in the fuel tank. Judging from the amount of putty on the surface of the device in your picture, it seems that the fuel tank doesn’t have an exhaust fan.
It’s a very small unit – there’s no range hood, just an oil fume filter. The entire task can be completed in five or six hours. When taking photos, I had already removed the shaft seal, which is the empty space in the upper left corner of the second picture. What I want to convey is that it’s important to have clear steps for addressing problems, to identify the root cause right away so as to achieve the goal more efficiently and save time and effort. This place is just an oil seal ring and a sealing ring, right? . In that case, I think the oil leakage is still due to the high oil level, which has gone above the seal ring; the reason might be poor return of oil.
Judging from this gear, the unit can’t be that small either. It’s best to install a smoke exhaust fan on the fuel tank; our expanders come with smoke exhaust fans even for fuel tanks with a capacity of 1 cubic meter. It is also possible to supply isolation gas to the shaft seal.
