The compressor shafts and shaft end seals of the company have suffered frictional damage; now it is necessary to calculate the thermal expansion amount of the shafts. Does anyone among you know the formula for this calculation?
When the shaft expands, the casing also expands, though the extent of expansion is different. This is calculated in segments based on the expansion properties of the steel, and generally, compressor manufacturers keep this information confidential.
