The picture shows the Hangzhou steam turbine speed shutdown control device. The red joint in the picture is the oil inlet pipe, and the pressure is about 1.0MPa. There was no leakage when driving in early July. It started leaking in mid-July and has now developed to 2 drops per second. If this trend continues, the turbine oil pipeline pressure will not be guaranteed and the chain will trip. The speed shutdown oil pressure is low and the valve is closed at a low speed. The secondary oil pressure is low and the main valve adjustment is insensitive. During this period, we removed the chain here and tightened it, but the effect was not great. We were afraid that the O-ring at the joint would be damaged due to excessive force and leakage would increase, so we had to give up. At this stage, we cannot find a suitable sealant for sealing oil. Most of them are caused by the failure of the internal gasket. In such cases, as long as you ensure that the oil inlet pressure is within the specified range, it should not be a big problem! On the other hand, does your current leakage rate affect the normal operation and regulation of your unit?
The current leakage does not affect normal operation and the oil pressure is normal. However, from mid-July to now, the leakage has been observed to increase. I am afraid that if it is not dealt with in time, the amount of leakage will increase, causing the oil pressure to drop and affecting the operation.
I know that chemical plants cannot be shut down easily. First of all, the pipe joint at your location should not have an O-ring. If it still doesn't work after tightening it with a large wrench, put something underneath to catch the oil. This is the oil pressure of high-pressure oil, which is relatively stable. It should be fine for short-term operation. Just take care of it when the machine is shut down next time (then check whether the contact surface of the pipe joint is good and whether there is any eccentricity during installation)
At this stage, we can only observe frequently and ask the main operator to keep an eye on the oil pressure. Personally, I think that even if the leakage increases, it is just a failure of the O-ring seal and the pipeline is not damaged. It will not affect the oil pressure in a large area and cause a shutdown. It is just a matter of trouble for the health care operator.
There is a sealing rubber ring on the sealing surface of this kind of ferrule joint. Oil leakage should be caused by damage to the sealing rubber ring, but it has not broken yet. Under normal and stable conditions, it can last for a period of time. Connect the oil leakage, prepare the rubber ring, and stand by for timely processing!
You can buy some pressure sealing tape online and wrap it yourself. Note that the tape must be resistant to medium corrosion.
This kind of joint is not an O-ring, but only a flat pad or a mushroom head. Use a wrench to tighten, being careful not to scratch the threads.
The high-pressure joint is a rigid line contact without a sealing ring. If the online tightening has no effect, it can only be shut down. After the shutdown, the high-pressure joint is replaced or replaced with an ordinary joint with a gasket. When we were negotiating the agreement, we changed all high-pressure joints such as steam turbines to joints with gaskets.
I think the 8th floor is correct. This type of joint does not have an O-ring. You can tighten it securely, but don’t use too much force and damage the threads. It will be fine. If it doesn’t work, just continue to connect the oil. It won’t be a big problem.
First loosen the nut a little bit, then wrap it with raw material tape or hemp rope, and finally tighten the nut. You can try it. I have done it before and the effect is much better.
