Could someone with expertise please provide the strength and hardness requirements for the rod bolts of reciprocating compressors?
Are there any requirements for the material? Please be a bit more detailed when asking questions. Logically, the material names are listed in the data table; by checking the standard number corresponding to that material, it should be clear.
Reciprocating compressors come in various shapes, with a wide range of materials used for their connecting rods as well as for their lock nuts. Such drawings should be labeled, but some only provide you with the drawing number. Once a replacement is needed, it must be obtained at the factory price, which is a way of protecting property rights.
The material is 45 steel, with M36 bolts; the hardness was measured at HRC 22.0 – is that normal?
