1. When the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet of the compressor is equal, does a higher inlet pressure result in a higher or lower shaft power for the compressor? 2. Are a booster and a compressor the same thing, or is there a difference?

I think that the greater the intake pressure, the greater the shaft power as well; since the intake pressure is higher, the flow rate increases while the cylinder volume remains constant, resulting in more work being done and thus a higher shaft power

2. Usually, by compressor I mean one that draws in air at atmospheric pressure and discharges it at a certain pressure. A supercharger introduces air at a pressure higher than atmospheric pressure and discharges it at an even higher pressure. Of course, there are also compressors that draw in air at a pressure lower than atmospheric pressure. So it’s just a matter of different names; the principle is the same: compressing gas at a certain pressure to the pressure you need.
