Poor steam quality can cause blockages in the flow passages of the compressor. There are two types of such issues: sodium ions lead to salt deposition, while silicon ions cause scaling. When the flow path is blocked, the most obvious effect is an increase in the pressure within the wheel chamber; under the same load, more steam is required, and the opening degree of the control valve increases. The secondary oil pressure and the voltage output by the DCS should be corresponding; the opening degree of the oil motor should match accordingly.
