We are a manufacturer of compressors. The term \"stroke length\" here probably refers to the piston’s travel distance, but it’s different in reality. Once wear occurs in the cylinder – that is, when the diameter at the areas where the piston rubs against the cylinder increases while the diameter in the areas without friction remains unchanged – the cylinder suffers from stepped wear. If the piston clearance is adjusted at this point, and the piston moves from the areas with friction (where the diameter is larger due to wear) to the areas without friction (where the diameter remains unchanged), the piston rings will get damaged. If there is no wear on the cylinder, there’s no need to worry about the clearance of the piston rings! !
