Does this compressor have stages? If not, is there a limit on the maximum exhaust temperature?
Screws come in different stages, and the highest level currently is probably three stages
Screw compressors come in different stages; the maximum number of stages is currently 3. There are also limits on exhaust temperature – for example, in the case of butadiene compressors, it must not exceed 81 degrees℃
Most are single-stage; in refrigeration, there are many single-unit two-stage models, and among process gases, Japanese brands such as Kobelco also offer single-unit two-stage units. The exhaust temperature limit for wet-type screws is generally 110°C, while that for dry-type screws can reach 200°C
Currently, screw compressors have up to three stages, with heat exchange between these stages. The number of stages is determined in order to simulate isothermal compression; there are options for air cooling and water cooling. The exhaust temperature depends on the settings you choose, which in turn determines the amount of heat exchange medium required. At present, the exhaust temperature of the screw compressor used in our company is around 40 degrees.
