There has been oil leakage at the bottom of the compressor oil tank; after welding the inside and outside of the tank, the leakage continued. This has inadvertently increased the workload for the operators on site as well as the fuel consumption costs. Do any experts have any good solutions? ? How to prevent it, how to deal with it,
Is it oil leaking from the joint? Could you try applying some sealant to see?
This is problematic. If it’s confirmed that there’s a leak at the bottom of the box, check for corrosion there, and then try laying a layer of steel plate at the bottom and welding it in place. A steel plate thickness of 3 mm is sufficient.
It is necessary to specifically check whether there is oil seepage or leakage at the bottom of the fuel tank; if the amount of seepage is significant, the fuel tank needs to be rebuilt, as relying solely on welding poses safety risks
How big is the fuel tank? The inside and outside of the fuel tank have been fully welded; what are the results of the weld inspection tests? Was 100% of them inspected? If the weld inspection shows no issues, it is recommended to conduct a comprehensive magnetic flux leakage test on the bottom area to identify any leaks and address them accordingly.
Oil seeps out; the amount leaked isn’t large, but cleaning has to be done frequently, almost every few days
It’s best to create something new; although it’s tedious, it will reduce potential problems in the long run
If that doesn’t work, just replace it with a new cover
