Do the inlet and outlet pipelines of the turbo compressor need to be pickled? Are it all those pipelines that need pickling?
The lubricating oil pipelines and dry gas seal pipelines need to be pickled
Pickling is a method for removing rust, oil, and cleaning pipes. Choose the cleaning method based on the usage requirements. There are also those cleaned using sandblasting or shot blasting.
It mainly depends on the customer’s needs; both steam pipes and lubricating oil pipes require pickling!
Do the main gas inlet and outlet pipelines of the compressor need to be pickled?
If the inlet and outlet pipelines of the compressor need to be pickled, it would involve a huge amount of work. The pipelines of larger compressors are usually 800 to 900 in size :P
The main gas inlet and outlet pipelines of compressors are usually carbon steel pipelines, right? Depending on the medium, acid cleaning is generally not required
There is more than just acid cleaning as a method for cleaning pipelines; other methods include water flushing, sandblasting, manual wiping, and PIG (pigging). The appropriate cleaning method should be selected based on the cleanliness requirements specified in the design documents and the conditions on site.
I’ve learned from this. Since the original poster only mentioned pickling, I haven’t considered other methods for now; it seems that the requirements in the design documents should be the guiding principle
